If my friend Rebekah T came all the way from the west coast to eat and drink here... I decided to check Patio Bar out during my latest "Northern Reaches of The 954" adventure and have to say that the view alone is 5 stars especially if you can sit outside. Located in the lobby / pool area of a beachside hotel, lunchtime is essentially classic American beach grub. I for one indulged in their "Sunset Burger" - about a half pound burger patty, a fresh slice of tomato, lettuce, a sprinkling of caramelized onions and swiss cheese. I liked it! The veggies looked fresh, and the meat patty retained juiciness while being well done. Service, although I did have to wait about 10 minutes to get a menu, was friendly and otherwise fast for a packed house of beach goers. They accommodated me when I had to move from the indoor bar because the patron next to me was smoking. A big draw of these beachside places are their frozen drinks, especially if it's a long weekend, and to that end I enjoyed their "Miami Vice" - basically a frozen rum runner - which packed a decent punch :) Couple the burger, the views and the music coming from the pool area and you have the makings of a nice long weekend funday.

ordered take out for the beach. The crab and shrimp flat bread, yes please. While it could use a little more crab and shrimp, it was delicious. Got a beer while waiting and it was a nice place for the 7 minutes I was there. lol So take this review for what it is.

Great location! We were lucky and got a metered parking spot right across the street. We stopped in for a couple cold beverages and some lunch to snack on. the 1/2 lb peel and eat shrimp were really good. The cocktail sauce was excellent. We also shared a spinach salad with bacon wrapped shrimp. It was a perfect spot to just sit, enjoy the day and watch people.

I've been for breakfast and lunch...neither time was I very impressed. The servers don't really seem to have sections so it takes awhile to be noticed and even get a drink order in. The food doesn't rank much better than denny's but it costs three times as much. It is right on the beach though, so you get a nice view.

Wohooo came here for drinks and dessert. The service was great, the music was awesome, and the desserts were delish my fav was the carrot cake yummy!

Outstanding seared sesame tuna salad. So good in fact that we we returned to have it a second time. Service was spotty. We went onto the patio to dance to a song and when we returned the bus-gal was clearing off our place ... even though we hadn't paid and hadn't finished our meals or drinks. Our servers each time were friendly, attentive and prompt. They really don't have a dance floor, but they play dance music (which you can;t miss).

This is an enjoyable spot with a delightfully frisky menu. Not like cat Friskies mind you, the kind of frisky that gets you thinking "wow, how did they get the fish to dance like that? I'm strangely turned on..." The tuna tacos are absolutely worth trying and surprisingly delicious. It's kind of like oysters in that you'll wonder who the crazy bastard was that decided to try it, but tuna and seaweed in a giant potato chip totally works. There are much more normal things on the menu, like the truly delightful balsamic chicken, but you can add some friskiness to those as well with a smidge of Irish coffee with (get this) a maraschino cherry at the bottom. Decent prices, decent menu, beautiful view. Do it.

This is the first time I've ever written a review. This is the worst food, drinks, and service I have ever seen in my life. I seriously wish I could give this place 0 stars. I told many people that sat by us to leave because it was so bad. The waitress was either heavily medicated or simply didn't care. She constantly rolled her eyes and made noises when we asked for anything. I will never return.

This place is much better value for lunch. The ambiance can always be good if it's outdoor weather & the upholstery & wall tiling are nice decor touches. Food wise: The tuna app was huge. The turkey club is fine for the money. Drink: You want crazy sweet things in glasses? This is your joint. The waitress, bless your heart, is a pro & knows how to make s dirty martini. The view is great, the bathroom is kind of an adventure to find but is lovely when you get there. Over all, I've been twice & will go again. Ps- bonus points for dollar off drinks 4-7 pm & late night happy hour after 10

Our parents just moved here and we came to the beach and this place is conveniently located across the street. While the service and the food is good, the quality of the alcoholic beverages are horrible. We came here twice with a party of 12 two days in a row thinking it was a fluke, we were sadly wrong. Come for the food and only get beer and none of the mixed drinks.

Love this place. I'm a local who lives on the island and this is my favorite place to stop in for a drink while on the beach. The bartenders are always friendly, and there's nothing like having a drink with an ocean view!
(4)Michelle K.
I enjoyed the Mahi Tacos..fish was fresh and very good. The server was also very attentive and friendly!
(5)Mike P.
Fantastic view right on the water. Server was very friendly and helpful. we had the crab and shrimp flatbead which was good. I ordered the mahi-mahi which came with a bean salsa, red potatoes and veggies which was very good. Would definitly recommend.

Expensive cuz of the beach views. Florida-friendly waitress and host. Drinks and apps were tasty. Lots of people chillin.
(3)Cait M.
Really cute with a miami feel. Right on the beach/Boardwalk with outdoor seating and a great view of the water. The bartender was really sweet and immediately turned on the Rangers game upon my request (big points in my book). Great prices and a great location. Yummy food and drinks! Also, it seemed like there was live music pretty often.

This is my go to date night place. Love having a bite to eat here accompanied by mojitos and martinis. The view is relaxing and the food is good. Nothing like beach side cocktails with calamari.
(4)Elizabeth V.
The drinks are good. My husband and I used to go there at least once a week, but the bartenders tend to have attitudes here and there. That's why we stopped going.
(2)Josh C.
Absolutely get the tuna tacos but stay away from the skirt steak small plate. So chewy I had to return it. They did right and didn't charge me for it. Minimal beer options. Even with not charging for the steak, service is below average. Great live music tonight, perfect weather on the patio and the tuna tacos (you really have to come at least once to try them) are keeping this review from a one or two star experience. If in the area again I would come again just for the tacos but I would set my expectations at one star for everything else.

I often like to try new places, but sometimes I love to go back to the places I love and try new dishes. On my last visit to Deerfield Beach, I returned to the Patio Bar and tried a couple new plates. After my morning workout and swim in the pool, I would order lunch from the Patio Bar or served out by the pool. On my first day back, I ordered the Caesar salad with the dressing on the side and grilled grouper. It was so tasty and light, flakey and perfect. After that, I kept going back for the fish. The Seafood Quesadilla with grilled fish inside was amazing and very filling. So much tasty grilled grouper that I didn't feel guilty foe eating the whole thing, that's some great protein. The drinks are really good and refreshing. I love the slushy drinks by the pool on a beautiful sunny day. My idea of vacation!

We decided to plan a girls day and enjoy some drinks by the beach. This was our first time here and it will be our last as well. When we walked in no one greeted us. We walked to the outside patio and it took a waiter approximately 15 minutes to come take our drink order. I decided to stick to tequila and order a margarita and it was nasty. Super sweet. The vibe at the place was boring. Service was crappy and drinks were not good. We did not finish our drinks and ask for the tab but it took them a very long time as well. We got up and walked with out tab to the bar to expedite this process that was taking forever.

After having a couple bad experiences at the bar we decided to give it another try, however, nothing changed. Bartenders are not friendly or professional... We met a few very nice people from Boston at the bar and began talking football. Of course we were yelled at for being loud. We understand it's a family restaurant but we were at the bar and just talking. Well that will be the last time we visit or recommend to any of our friends visiting. Bartenders need a personality and welcome anyone to their bar.... Thanks for nothing...

The food is some of the best we ever had. We had two meals there while staying at the Wyndham Beach Resort, and also a night of drinks. The churrasco was amazing and my husband said that te bacon wrapped shrimp was the best thing he ever had. The fries were ultra fresh and the soda, sprite in my case, tasted like it came from a very clean line. Super yummy. The drinks were solid, nothing to write home about but we were happy to find frozen drinks, a must for us while we are on vacation. The wait staff reminded me of the old school New York ladies that come down here for the winter, although never outright rude a little rough around the edges. This place would have definitely scored 5 stars if the waitresses would have been more welcoming. We would definitely eat there again!

Location, location, location. Sits under the Wyndam across a small one lane one way street from the beach, and is raised with an open balcony and large open eatery (with misters) so you have a great view of palm trees, sand and bright blue waters. Nevertheless, the food was a bit below par; chopped salads were tasteless iceberg lettuce affairs, and the raw oysters were smaller than most clams (though adequate garnish was provided)...a stand-out was the Portabella sandwich on challah bread bun - tasty - but skip the cole slaw, which was inedible. The service was very friendly; we had Janine, who was on the spot and added some local flair.

Great fish tacos! Wonderful location, right across the street from beautiful Deerfield Beach!
(4)Samantha B.
On a few occasions I've been here but today was not so good. The view is the best part of this restaurant. It's beautiful right across from beach. Service is AWFUL. Slow & confused waitresses. I understand that I was solo for lunch but I still don't feel like I should have to flag down the waitress to get any kind of service. Also annoying when you are at a metered parking spot. No valet. I ordered a grilled Grouper sandwich because I love Grouper. Without asking the waitress suggested I get the blackened Mahi tacos. I should have listened to her. Even though the Grouper should be fresh it tasted frozen. The fries were pretty gross but my only other choices were coleslaw or Greek salad - I don't eat mayo. I've had good oysters in the past which is why I gave 3 stars.

The small plates (appetizers) are ridiculously small. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp and it literaly came with five average-sized shrimps. For $9.95? Seriously? I sent them back so I can't tell if they're even good. The lunch menu offers few options, most of them light salads and sandwiches without anything special. Location on oceanfront is great though.

Oh my gosh the view... So incredible. Miami vice with an extra floater $8, can't beat it. Super reasonable. Love this place, and I love the atmosphere. Great casual date place. Server was not very nice though..
(4)Judith D.
I went there with friends for drinks. The location is amazing but the service is horrible and the mojito is the worse ever.

Ok so I've had 2 experiences here. The first was great, the second, not so much. Both times, we sat out on the patio (closer to the pool area) - you get a great view of the beach here and are in the area where the keyboard player is singing (he left by 5pm so I'm thinking he's here only in the afternoons). The first time I was dining with my daughter, who eats shrimp. She had the pineapple shrimp which was delicious. Big fried shrimp in a pineapple glaze with grilled pineapple. I had the seared tuna appetizer which came with wasabi and it was perfect. I had a pina colada this time and it was absolutely delicious. The second time I was dining with my husband, we just wanted a glass of wine and an appetizer. Hubby eats zero seafood. I guess I didn't realize that this menu doesn't have any appetizers that are not seafood except for two beef appetizers - one is grilled beef on crostini topped with chimichurri sauce - OMG that was disgusting. The chimichurri was so overpowering, I scraped it off to eat the beef and my husband refused to eat it. The other option was the teriyaki beef skewers - they were fine but nothing spectacular. Also the seating at the hostess stand was slow the second time we were there. They weren't slammed busy so I have no idea where the hostess was for the first 10 minutes we were standing there waiting for someone to greet us.

I've been coming to this place for a few years way before the hotel and restaurant renovations. I used to come here to get drinks and a burger and kick back and enjoy the views of the ocean. I've seen their menu change over the years. This place used to be the typical bar with a lot of bar-food like nachos flat bread pizza ect... Now it is more of a beachfront fine dining. One reason I like coming here is the live music; they always have someone singing or playing an instrument doing covers of R&B pop or soft rock songs. My last meal here I ordered the blackened grouper with asparagus and mash. It was the perfect meal to end my long Labor Day weekend. Everything on my plate was delicious and cooked perfectly. I knew my food was good when my son decided to eat my food instead of his hamburger and french fries. The only thing keeping me from giving one of my favorite spots 5 stars is the service. It's really based on the waitress you get. The one we got stuck with on Monday, for example wasn't thrilled about working. I mean I can't blame her; who wants to work on Labor Day? I know I don't. We were there for about 2 hours and I can say she checked on us 3 times I had to ask the bus boy to get me water and the place wasn't that crowded. But like I said its hit or miss with service. I've been here where the waitress goes above and beyond. If you love to be near the ocean like I do I would highly recommend this place. And the prices are reasonable.

Went once for dinner with the wife. Food was good. Drinks were good. However. The night we went it was raining hard, so the patio portion got squeezed inside which made it uncomfortable. We will go back again, at least give it a chance to update my review that's not skewed by Mother Nature.

One of my favorite spots in South Florida. $8 pina coladas on the boardwalk/strip/beach in South Florida??? Never! You've got beach, bikins, board shorts, brews, a boardwalk and a cruise strip all sitting in front of the bar. ++++ RG singing for you/us on the weekends. This place is lovely, reasonable and in the perfect spot for catching some shade and people-watching. Pauline? Awesome hostess. Sandy? Server of the year. RG? A voice that makes you want to dance. My wife and I drive from CityPlace 2-3 times a month just to hang out here. Come through people! You'll love this place as much as we do. Christian F... back to Kansas, my man.

Love it. Went and ordered a salad and lots of drinks. Met lots of fun people and the waitress was great...stayed all day and was able to watch the folks on the beach. Food was good, service was good...Will be back!!

Tried to go here at 1030 to have a drink to start our night. The bar tender was rude and acted like we were such a pain in his butt. Told us they close at 11 we had to go elsewhere despite the fact that 15 ppl were there. I'll never give them one dollar of my money as long as I live.

Love this place! The pork tapas were so good! Outside seating and Spanish music set it off. Will be back with friends. Brian, you are the best!

Located in the first floor of the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort, this restaurant has a wonderful ocean view, a bar inside with indoor and outdoor seating overseeing the beach. The location is key for this restaurant, this is an ok place to bring out of towners for breakfast or lunch since its a casual atmosphere and you can't beat the beautiful ocean view. The food itself is just meh to ok, they keep it basic and do the necessary but don't take it anywhere else from there. The atmosphere is laid back and casual, with most of the clientele from the hotel itself, either people on business trips or family vacations, mostly pretty boring, I have never seen any action at the bar, it's your basic hotel diner/restaurant with the exception of a killer view. Service is mostly friendly but tends to be slow and not very attentive, you have to try to get someone attention to finally get a refill and plates are not cleared from the table, it's mostly a diner type service feel instead of a nice oceanfront restaurant, so basically it's pricey for the food and service so you are paying mostly for the location. Location 4 Food/Drinks 2.5 Service 2

I am staying at the Wyndham hotel, so I thought I'd check out the bar. It is absolutely fantastic. I got the bacon wrapped shrimp spinach salad. It was incredible! Beautiful views, good service, live music, great food! Couldn't have asked for anything more perfect!

We come to this beach often, since we're close by, and I decided to come for dinner and drinks, to give this place a try. I like the idea of the beach view and music being played, and after checking out their menu, they offer some of the things we like. I ordered their bacon wrapped shrimp spinach salad, which was very good. My boyfriend ordered their pork ribs, which he seemed to like. I noticed when looking at the menu, some of the items on their website, weren't listed on the menu at the restaurant.... and the prices are a couple of dollars higher on the restaurant menu. The drinks were weak and we're assuming this place gets lots of customers due to its location and view. Even after ordering a 'double' for one of my drinks, it was still on the weak side; felt ripped off. Also, I noticed one of the drink napkins had a stain on it. There are many other places to eat and drink in the area, and we'll check them out as well. We won't return.
(2)Michael R.
This place is great. No reason to go anywhere else on the Deerfield strip! Food is amazing and the atmosphere is very relaxing but elegant. I'm in kitchens everyday for work and this is the cleanest kitchen I've ever seen. This Executive Chef takes pride in his cooking environment! A total hidden gem!!

Craft beers and top shelf liquors, live music and nice place for an after dinner drink
